----------------------------------------------------------

Dear friends, collaborators, artists and audience:

This year is a special year. A year that marks two decades of dreams, efforts, struggles and, of course, theater. Twenty years is not a small number; it is 20 years of stories told from the stage, of stories lived in each rehearsal, of stories that, like good theater, have transformed us and united us.

Twenty years ago, a group of young people at the Universidad Veracruzana (Mexico) decided to take a brave step, a step towards the uncertain, but full of passion and conviction. Who would have imagined that from that first performance in the faculty bathroom such a deep and meaningful path would emerge? From a group with few resources, with many sacrifices, a project was born that, over time, would become a fundamental part of my artistic life.

Today we celebrate not only the work of those who have been here from the beginning, but also the contributions and love of all those who have joined along the way, every actor, every technician, every spectator who has been part of this story. Because the theatre is a reflection of all of us: what we are, what we feel, what we dream, what we need to tell. And you, dear friends, have been the witnesses, the accomplices, the bearers of this flame that never goes out.

It is an honour to be able to say that together we have gone through challenges, difficulties and, above all, moments of enormous satisfaction and joy. We have explored profound themes, challenged conventions, experimented with new forms of expression and, above all, we have maintained authenticity as our beacon. Because this theatre, our theatre, does not depend on large productions or commercial formulas. It depends on the stories that are born in the soul and that are shared with those who dare to listen to them.

Today we celebrate much more than 20 years of theatre. We celebrate 20 years of creative freedom, of commitment to our community, of love for art. Each one of you has been a fundamental part of this story. Without the public, without the collaborators, without the friends who have supported us from day one, none of this would be possible. And to you, we are deeply grateful.

We do not know what the future holds for us, but we know that, as long as we continue walking, the theater will continue to be our language, our voice, our way of connecting with the world. The future calls us, and we welcome it with the same passion with which we began this journey.

Thank you all for being part of these 20 years of magic, emotion and life. May the applause resonate, not only at this moment, but in every heart that this project has touched.

For the theater, for life, for the next 20 years!

Researchers of the Performing Arts: essential rescuers of processes.

FRAGMENT COLLECTORS IN ARGENTINA

Within the framework of the 4th talks of the Women Investigating cycle in the archive of the National Institute of Theater Studies INET of Buenos Aires, Argentina; I discovered very valuable information in relation to the history, the actions and the generating aspects that arise from these great Argentine researchers and that lead them to collect profound and transforming moments of stage life in their country. A great challenge on the part of each speaker and the Institute to provide full support to their respective research and better yet, report their results.

The research works of Lía Noguera, Malena Grasiosi, Laura Gómez and Camila Losada were shared, of which I had the opportunity to be in three of them (regret that lack, each presentation brings with it a sea of information and multiple efforts of each one of these women, which is simply contagious) Here is one of the advantages of virtuality and its possibilities: being able to hear out loud from someone who is passionate about a subject and takes it to paper to record, in this way, that that could have been lost in time, but that with their work when investigating, they bring to the present and leave for the future a part of the history that shapes us as artists, creators, and researchers.

THE WOMAN FOR THE WOMAN

The process that I lived through being part of this forum of creative and creative women, leaves me thinking about the importance of making ourselves visible as researchers and how essential it is to show the work that multiple women have done in the performing arts over time. For this reason, I am even more excited to have been able to listen to them and discuss the role and performances of women within the Podestá Family, in stage music with its creators and in the circus with the Videla brothers.

I observe the way in which we return to the place that always corresponded to us and that now, many years later, we bring to the table to share in full light of what these great women * did and manifested; giving a place, meaning and belonging to the female presence in the performing arts of the 21st century.

A LOT TO SAY AND DO

The days of the sessions become endearing because of what challenges us from a distance and that we feel close to, I have the feeling that this is just an appetizer for what is to come in many aspects in stage research in Latin America from the feminine vision; the microphone is being put on voices that for many years have been omitted from history.

With each presentation, I felt the need to pause to delve deeper into what all the work done meant, but time, even in virtual mode, is not long ago, and I fall short when trying to describe the historical material that they shared with us, It was a tour of a very important part of the Argentine scene and it is very comforting to recognize what each one contributed to me.

With much ahead, these researchers make it clear that, with their work, they build a present that will undoubtedly resonate strongly in the future.

NOTHING TO LOSE, JUST LOVE

Where a society collapses, we are the broken ones ... those who have once given everything for lost, and we no longer fear losing, we are the ones who fight insisting on improving the world; because only love and tenderness, deep listening and an understanding look for others will save us, or at least give us times of peace, so necessary and urgent in our days.

The loving upbringing says that an infant when receiving love and affection activates important parts in his brain, synaptic connections that become fundamental for development and cognitive capacity for life, and on the contrary, a being that experiences humiliations, punishments and blows From an early age, it can have irreversible disorders (which over time lead to adults with problems to link love-listening and empathy with their peers). How difficult is it to give a look, a smile? To dialogue and listen to ourselves with that: with the body, with the soul, with radical tenderness.

LIFE THAT BECOMES ART

Sometimes one learns with experience, sometimes not ... sometimes without understanding you are already talking to strangers and they become a brotherhood; this was the experience with Lía and Canuto ... * their work speaks for itself, they are artists because they are them, it is their intense search to live or survive many times ... a constant rebirth that vitalizes my senses and me he searches within me, and questions me and confronts me and ... that is to be able to take a look inside his experiences that become art, that raise awareness like this: poetic and scathing at the same time ... and then there is no way to escape, they touch you ... they trans-touch you.

Hence its magic and its power, that is why its sharing is so valuable; They are so generous to give away their experiences and processes that we then know them, and they detonate artistic actions-creations that become essential because they are the result of our own listening, they make us turn to look at our interior that only through art is it possible to confront and love.

Seminario Permanente de Circo Social: Resistencia, Arte y Compromiso. Permanent Seminar on Social Circus: Resistance, Art and Commitment.

THE CIRCUS TO GROW-CREATE

Since February of this year I had the opportunity to access the Permanent Seminar of Social Circus, given by Anarama, with the collaboration of the Spain Cultural Center in Mexico; and I want to share a bit of this experience that is humanizing and artistic at the same time.

During each session we have been guided by the hand to delve into the complexity of the social circus, from the human rights that we all have to participate in art and culture, to our own methodologies to systematize our work.

It has been the commitment of the speakers and the coordinators, which has led them to teach us so patiently and conscientiously the guidelines to embroider that social fabric that we know is broken; We have seen how from personal experiences, success stories and a lot of work it has been possible to re-generate processes of personal growth, achieved by the various disciplines that cover the circus arts.

Although, it is not intended to turn the participants of these processes into artists (although there are artists who were trained within these valuable initiatives) if it is through art and its challenges (discipline, trust, teamwork , etc.) that have managed to launch multiple projects of international relevance. These proposals have modified violent behaviors in certain sectors or in communities where the social circus has had a great impact, hence their importance in recognizing and promoting them.

WORK BEYOND RESULT

In the Social Circus the process is vital, unlike the traditional Circus (where, perhaps the most important thing is the expertise, cleanliness and perfection to execute an act) here is to negotiate the day to day, and it is essential to accompany with enough listen to each participant; knowing that its process is unique, pedagogical without seeking an immediate result and above all that it has an essential objective: to contribute the best of the circus arts to seek to be better; or at least that is what I have felt in this techno-living experience where I have been able to share with those who have managed to connect with other human beings and who found in the circus a possibility to help visualize a different life opportunity.

Obviously, in order to continue and disseminate the process that is carried out within a social circus group, it is necessary to show it (to the community, neighborhood or population with which it works) Presenting what has been learned during the training sessions does not only link us with the families of the participants in the workshops (which makes it more significant) if not that it gives an account of the process and its importance beyond the result, giving at the end the opportunity for each member to feel heard, valued. and being an important part of a whole (the show)

ACT WITH AN HONEST PROPOSAL

Behind the knowledge contributed by each speaker there is a lot of experience and work; they have shared the best and the worst of their projects, making me feel closer and more secure in wanting to try to replicate processes and record them. We are beyond the middle to conclude the experience of the seminar, and there have been so many tools that I have taken with me, that I do not want to miss the opportunity to reflect and propose from what I can do in the village where I live.

There is a lot to do, I know that and I want to make sure that I will do my best. Thanks to each speaker and collaborator who has helped me reveal many things within the social circus, it is you who with your work make the world a better place.

Maternar y hacer teatro (intentarlo). Maternal and theatre (try).

DO WHAT YOU LOVE VS WHAT YOU CAN DO.

Challenging the capitalist system every day generating humanity and not profit, seems to be just a resilient phrase, in the face of the situation that many mothers-parents share every day with our kids, we know that it is society that decomposes motherhood because: "that is the work of a mother".

A situation based on self-denial and a struggle with yourself about what you want to do and what you have to do, where it will always win what is not inplace, in this case, to mother; I imagine that in the future it will be a possibility where you may be able to combine what you love with raising so simply that these words will be too much.

COMBINE EVERYTHING AND NOTHING. WHAT YOU EXPECT FROM YOU.

As much as I have tried to accommodate schedules, the times of motherhood in pandemic are others, personal and asynchronous in addition, and those of the theater seem to be just as demanding, just as vivid (I imagine that like every profession, but I have only dedicated myself to art) and in that ten- and six-year experience in the performing arts, I had never known the consequences of severing it , or at least that was a hooked idea in my head before I found myself doing a whole new thing: maternal.

I was listening in an interview with a project beauty: Medeas, young researchers of the scene, and I came to appropriate a reflection that came from patience, to write with times and rhythms of my own, or that I wanted to understand: that patience is important for everything from taking a pen to make a theater critic to to return to the stage or taking it back from this new perspective that gives me to visualize this new time; give us that time and love each other more, or at least try.

THERE IS NO PERFECT SOLUTION.

Not all of us have been mothers or fathers, but we have all been raised, and it is only in this century in Latin America that proposals for parenting and map-ternity seem to be finalised within reach of almost everyone. Thanks to the constant flow of information and the search for it; arguments from science and research proven over time have shown that while there is no magic solution to parenting (because each is one, because although there are pedagogies that are promoted as the most efficient, in the matter of raising, there is not a single path) with respect, accompaniment and patience you can try to reconcile motherhood with what we love, which demands and complements us: maternal and theatre.
