Este año es un año especial. Un año que marca dos décadas de sueños, esfuerzos, luchas y, por supuesto, teatro. Veinte años no es un número pequeño; son 20 años de historias contadas desde el escenario, de historias vividas en cada ensayo, de historias que, como el buen teatro, nos han transformado y nos han unido.
Hace 20 años, un grupo de jóvenes de la Universidad Veracruzana (México) decidió dar un paso valiente, un paso hacia lo incierto, pero lleno de pasión y convicción. ¿Quién hubiera imaginado que de aquella primera actuación en el baño de la facultad surgiría un camino tan profundo y significativo? De un grupo con pocos recursos, con muchos sacrificios, nació un proyecto que, con el tiempo, se convertiría en parte fundamental de mi vida artística.
Hoy celebramos no sólo el trabajo de quienes han estado aquí desde el principio, sino también las aportaciones y el amor de todxs lxs que se han sumado en el camino, cada actriz, cada actor, cada técnico, cada espectador que ha sido parte de esta historia. Porque el teatro es un reflejo de todos nosotros: de lo que somos, de lo que sentimos, de lo que soñamos, de lo que necesitamos contar. Y ustedes, queridxs amigxs, han sido los testigxs, lxs cómplices, lxs portadorxs de esta llama que nunca se apaga.
Es un honor poder decir que juntos hemos atravesado retos, dificultades y, sobre todo, momentos de enorme satisfacción y alegría. Hemos explorado temas profundos, desafiado convenciones, experimentado nuevas formas de expresión y, sobre todo, hemos mantenido la autenticidad como nuestro faro. Porque este teatro, nuestro teatro, no depende de grandes producciones ni de fórmulas comerciales. Depende de las historias que nacen en el alma y que se comparten con quienes se atreven a escucharlas.
Hoy celebramos mucho más que 20 años de teatro. Celebramos 20 años de libertad creativa, de compromiso con nuestra comunidad, de amor por el arte. Cada uno de ustedes ha sido parte fundamental de esta historia. Sin el público, sin lxs colaboradorxs, sin lxs amigxs que nos han apoyado desde el primer día, nada de esto sería posible. Y a ustedes, les estoy profundamente agradecida.
No sabemos qué nos depara el futuro, pero sabemos que, mientras sigamos caminando, el teatro seguirá siendo nuestro lenguaje, nuestra voz, nuestra forma de conectarnos con el mundo. El futuro nos llama, y lo recibimos con la misma pasión con la que iniciamos este camino.
Gracias a todxs por ser parte de estos 20 años de magia, emoción y vida. Que los aplausos resuenen, no sólo en este momento, sino en cada corazón que este proyecto ha tocado.

This year is a special year. A year that marks two decades of dreams, efforts, struggles and, of course, theater. Twenty years is not a small number; it is 20 years of stories told from the stage, of stories lived in each rehearsal, of stories that, like good theater, have transformed us and united us.
Twenty years ago, a group of young people at the Universidad Veracruzana (Mexico) decided to take a brave step, a step towards the uncertain, but full of passion and conviction. Who would have imagined that from that first performance in the faculty bathroom such a deep and meaningful path would emerge? From a group with few resources, with many sacrifices, a project was born that, over time, would become a fundamental part of my artistic life.
Today we celebrate not only the work of those who have been here from the beginning, but also the contributions and love of all those who have joined along the way, every actor, every technician, every spectator who has been part of this story. Because the theatre is a reflection of all of us: what we are, what we feel, what we dream, what we need to tell. And you, dear friends, have been the witnesses, the accomplices, the bearers of this flame that never goes out.
It is an honour to be able to say that together we have gone through challenges, difficulties and, above all, moments of enormous satisfaction and joy. We have explored profound themes, challenged conventions, experimented with new forms of expression and, above all, we have maintained authenticity as our beacon. Because this theatre, our theatre, does not depend on large productions or commercial formulas. It depends on the stories that are born in the soul and that are shared with those who dare to listen to them.
Today we celebrate much more than 20 years of theatre. We celebrate 20 years of creative freedom, of commitment to our community, of love for art. Each one of you has been a fundamental part of this story. Without the public, without the collaborators, without the friends who have supported us from day one, none of this would be possible. And to you, we are deeply grateful.
We do not know what the future holds for us, but we know that, as long as we continue walking, the theater will continue to be our language, our voice, our way of connecting with the world. The future calls us, and we welcome it with the same passion with which we began this journey.
Thank you all for being part of these 20 years of magic, emotion and life. May the applause resonate, not only at this moment, but in every heart that this project has touched.
